Information We Collect

In general, you can visit many of our web pages without telling us who you are or revealing any Personal Information about yourself. However, we collect information that is sent to us automatically by your web browser, which allows us to track the Internet domain address from which people visit us and analyze this data for trends and statistics, but individuals remain anonymous unless you voluntarily tell us who you are. However, if you have created a user identity on one of your visits to this Site (for example, by making a purchase or creating an account), we may link the information provided by your browser to information that identifies you personally and use it for the purposes described below. In addition, we may review our server logs for security purposes, such as detecting intrusions into our network. If we suspect criminal activity, we might share our server logs—which contain visitors’ IP addresses—with the appropriate investigative authorities who could use that information to trace and identify individuals.

We collect the Personal Information that you knowingly and voluntarily provide when you use this Site, for example, the information you provide when you request information about products or services, request a catalog, purchase a product or service, contact us regarding a purchase, or enter a contest or promotion. This information may include your name, shipping/billing address, email address, phone number, credit card information, birth date, gender, occupation, and personal interests and information used to verify your identity or for fraud prevention purposes. Whether or not to provide such information is completely your own choice. But if you choose not to provide the information we request, you may be unable to purchase products or access certain services, offers, and content on our Site.

We use “cookies,” and similar technologies, such as Web Beacons (also referred to as “GIF files,” “pixels,” or “action tags”), to collect Personal Information and support the functionality of this Site. For more information about our use of cookies and Web Beacons, see below.  A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Generally, we use cookies to remind us of who you are; tailor our products and services to suit your personal interests; estimate our audience size; and process your order, track your status in our promotions, contests, and sweepstakes, and/or analyze your visiting patterns. Using cookies permits us to provide you with a more personalized shopping experience and, in some cases, may save you the trouble of re-entering information already in our database.  You can generally set your browser to not accept cookies or to notify you when you are sent a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it. You may also delete our cookies as soon as you leave our Site. Although you are not required to accept our cookies, if you set your browser to reject cookies, you will not be able to use all of the features and functionality of this Site. For example, you may not be able to purchase products and services on this Site.  Web Beacons help us recognize a unique cookie on your browser. We use this tool to compile aggregate information about you, and it is not personally identifiable information. This information includes IP addresses, search terms, domain names, and browser types. We use this information to track usage, analyze trends, administer the Site, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may share this aggregate information with our Marketing Partners (defined below) or Service Providers (defined below).

Do Not Track Notice

We may use automatic data collection technology to record other information that identifies your device and tracks your behavior on the Site. We may automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookies, and the pages you request, as well as pages you have visited of our partner and affiliate websites and the products you were interested in on that website.  At the current time, we do not comply with Do Not Track settings on your browser and the Site will not treat you differently if we receive Do Not Track signals from your browser.

We use the Personal Information you provide for internal purposes such as confirming and tracking your order, subscription, or registration; analyzing trends and statistics; informing you of our new products, services, and offers; and providing you with information from and about the Company. From time to time we might establish a business relationship with other persons or entities which we believe to be trustworthy and which we have asked to confirm that their privacy policies are consistent with ours. These are known as our Marketing Partners. In such cases we might share and cross-reference information, including personally identifiable information about you, to enable such persons or entities to contact you regarding products and services that may be of interest to you. We only share the information we believe is appropriate to enable the Marketing Partners to carry out their responsibilities under our contracts, and we require that the information be used only for the specifically authorized purpose and that its confidentiality be maintained.

We may also combine that information with publicly available information and information we receive from or cross-reference with our Marketing Partners. We use that combined information to enhance and personalize your shopping experience with us, to communicate with you about our products and events that may be of interest to you, and for other promotional purposes.

We may contract with companies or persons to provide certain services including but not limited to, credit card processing, shipping, data management and promotional services. We call them our Service Providers. We provide our Service Providers with the information needed for them to perform these services. We also ask our Service Providers to confirm that their privacy practices are consistent with ours.  Although unlikely, in certain instances we may disclose your personally identifiable information when we have reason to believe that it is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against persons or entities which may be causing injury to you, to the Company, or to others. We may also disclose your personally identifiable information when we believe the law requires it.  For instance, the Company may be required to disclose an individual’s personal information in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

The Company will provide an individual opt-out choice before we share their data with third parties other than our agents, or before we use it for a purpose other than which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized.  To limit the use and disclosure of your personal information, you may submit a written request to service@recognation.com.

The Company shall only collect and use Personal Information in a way that is compatible with and relevant for the purpose for which it was collected or authorized by the individual.

The Company shall take reasonable steps to protect the Information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. The Company has put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure Personal Information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction. The Company works to protect the security of information during transmission by using appropriate security/protection software and techniques.  However, no system can ensure complete security of all information and you acknowledge that risk through use of the Site.

In cases of onward transfer to third parties of data of EU or Swiss individuals received pursuant to the Privacy Shield, the Company remains responsible and liable if such third parties engage to process Personal Information in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, unless the Company proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage. The Company shall ensure that any third party for which Personal Information may be disclosed agrees in writing to provide the same level of privacy protection as set forth in this Policy.

About California Proposition 65

California’s Proposition 65 entitles California consumers to special warnings for products that contain one or more of the approximately 950 common substances known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm if those products expose consumers to such chemicals above certain threshold levels.  This law also states that any company that delivers these products to addresses in California MUST place a warning on the product, usually in the form of a sticker.  We care about our customer’s safety and are providing the following warning for products linked to this page:

WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

What is the risk level?  A person exposed to the chemical at the “no significant risk level” for 70 years would not have more than a “one in 100,000” chance of developing cancer because of that exposure.

If you are a customer who is buying a product for distribution in California and you have concerns about a product containing the Prop 65 warning labels, please inquire before ordering.  For more information on Prop 65, please visit http://www.oehha.ca.gov/prop65.html

If you are a vendor contracted by Baudville, Inc, we request that you try to incorporate raw or component materials that meet the Phthalate Free concentration standards that adhere to less than or equal to 1,000 parts per million (“ppm”) of DEHP, DBP, DINP, DIDP, DnHP, and BBP as determined by a minimum of duplicate quality controlled test results using Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) testing methodologies 3580A and 8270C.
