What is The RecogNATION podcast all about?
Neely Adkins and I (Kailey Savona) decided to start a leadership podcast at the beginning of the year. We’re both Certified Recognition Professionals and we work with organizations of all shapes and sizes to bring life to recognition programs to increase employee engagement and satisfaction.
We put together The RecogNATION podcast to gather together thought leaders in this space. To share stories that demonstrate the impact of cultivating a culture of recognition and gratitude. Our guests are expert people leaders from various types of organizations that we facilitate natural conversations with. In addition to our rich discussions, we also present studies and articles from industry organizations to sprinkle in even more data.
What topics do we discuss?
Most of our episodes have core questions involving employee engagement. We also touch on many other workplace matters including hybrid/remote work, wellbeing, DEI, belonging, motivation, culture, and beyond. A few of our most popular episodes include themes like:
- Shifts in recognition over the years (E01)
- Engaging hybrid and remote employees (E07)
- The benefits of 1:1 meetings (E11)
- Languages of appreciation in the workplace (E12)
- Motivating customer service teams (E21)
- Non-traditional hiring (E23)
- The power of connecting with others (E25)
- Psychological theory and recognition trends (E32)
- Working in harmony with different generations (E37)
We’ve had the chance to meet with knowledgeable leaders from an array of notable organizations. Among them are Steve Browne from LaRosa’s, David Klein from Spirit Airlines, Emily Babson from Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, Dr. Jermani Thompson from Anheuser-Busch, and Tom McCauley from Aspen Valley Hospital (previously from Athletico).
